As an hispanic male, a veteran of the armed forces, and a college educated technician, I have had to carry around documentation for most of my adult life because I've been in many situations where I've had to prove my citizenship and defend my right to live in the United States to people who have never served.

The most infuriating part of Ana's charitable interpretation of that Trump supporter's comments -- and this is something Mike from Humanist Report said a few days ago -- is that she straight-up refuses to grant the same charitability to those who are calling her out for her recent comments on trans activists that are, to say the very least, questionable.

Cenk is actually keeping real and there is nothing wrong with that. We clearly live in a political environment that is highly toxic but Ana doesn't need to keep riding her high horse. It's okay to fight back from time to time. Being nice all the time isn't going to win all the time.

What does Ana think he means by "allowing parents to control their children"? She must know he means more than he's letting on. You hear this from so many conservatives over the years, and it always means trying to control their kids' identity.

I would love for Ana to give more details about her example of school districts "helping" trans kids transition without the knowledge of their parents. No way she’s talking about puberty blockers cause the parents would notice and you legally cannot give those to a minor without the parents agreement. She cannot be talking about teachers bringing clothes to kids their parents don’t want them to wear cause the parents would obviously notice which makes me think she’s just referring to teachers using the kids preferred pronouns. One that’s mild as fuck. 2, how many school districts are we talking and how many kids would be affected? Like 10? And she said it’s a proposal so it’s not even in place yet and would probably be blocked. The fact Ana keeps concern trolling about insignificant shit like this gives a lot of weight to the argument she’s making a right wing pivot

This was a great conversation, analysis, debate from Ana, Cenk, and Kyle. Having grown up with hunters who killed for food or trophies, people who kill exotic animals are not hunters. In this debate, I'm inclined to see things Cenk's way, although I tend to agree with Ana more often. I have yet to meet a 'rump supporter that isn't TFG.
