Human rights/God-given rights/natural rights are an intellectually vacuous idea, and borderline religious in its presentation despite being espoused by the nominally secular liberal tradition. What we call 'rights' are merely highly valued and legally privileged liberties granted by the state. Anything can become a right, or lose status as a right, if the collective nation or a sufficiently authoritarian government desire it. It's not that marxists think these 'rights' shouldn't be valued, we just oppose the idea that these rights exist outside the state and civilization.
