Third Way Social Authoritatianism
Many authoritarian regimes followed
Third Way economics, which in itself is a synthesis of
neoliberal and
socially liberal/
socially democratic economic policies. Authoritarian regimes which embrace the Third Way tend to implement deregulation, privatization, private-public partnerships, and
anti-poverty measures. Two notable example of this are
Eduard Shevardnadze in
Georgia and
Thaksin Shinawatra in
Thailand. It can be seen as a more pro-welfare version of
State Liberalism (non Succdem)
